Owen Swim School is slashing their swimming lesson fee from their standard rate of $100/month to only $60/month . Yes, this is a fixed rate, not a one time promotion. It’s on-going. No joke.

 

What is the saving like ?

You are going to save 40% every month. Standard rate $100/month, join us at $60/month only. Unheard of! You are saving $40 each month. It is saving of $480 per year. That’s equivalent to almost 5 MONTHS of FREE LESSONS. Do help us to spread this good news to your neighbours and friends so the community can benefit from it. 🧡

What is the catch ?

Due to the cost cutting, we can only focus on one important task which is on our teaching and cut-off all other cost like admin, logistic and notification. We realise that we are spending a lot of man-hours on entertaining to make-up class, medical leave, vacations break to stop temporarily and re-join.

 

We hope our student will get the best learning experience and one of the main factors is consistently. When student is consistent in their attendance, it will indefinitely help in their learning/progression. We hope this slashing of price can help the parents especially in such economy.

 

The next factor, is to ease our load on our admin-in-charge. With this low pricing, we no longer can offer any make-up class, medical leave or holding of slot.

We have been in this coaching industry for the past 20 years, swim coaching is our passion. Our team has been with us for many years. We hope we can continue to serve the community. Registration

Q. Can I choose other day for swimming lessons?

Currently we only have Monday & Thursday time slot. For those who wants other time slot, can let us know, if there is other opening time slot, we will let you know. 

Q. Why do we need to pay to book the time slot?

As there are limited slots available, booking will allow you to book the specific time slot.

Q. Can I change to other time slot after booking?

Yes, but it will depend on availability.

Q. When is Bukit Canberra Swimming Complex opening?

It’s opening ceremony was held on 15 Oct 2023, Sunday.  Our swimming lessons are on going. Sign up now before slot runs out.

Payment

Q. When is the next payment due date?

The first payment due date will be on the 2nd month (out of the 3 months) as we will held 1 month as a deposit. This 1 month deposit will act as notification if you are quitting and your slot will be given to others upon utilizing the 1 month deposit. If you decided to continue, the next payment cycle has to be paid.

 

As we do not have lesson on the 5th week (29th, 30th & 31st of each month unless otherwise stated), there is only 4 weeks in a month. The first week will be on the 1st day of each calendar month.

 

Example: If the student join the swim school on the 3rd week (19 Feb 2024), his first payment cycle (3 months) will end on the 2nd week of the 3rd month (19 Feb 2024 to 13 May 2024) if you decided to quit within the 3 months. If you would like to continue, by the 2nd week of the 2nd month (08 Apr 2024), payment must be made and 1-month will be held as deposit.

 

If you make payment on 08 Apr 2024, you are paying for again, 3 months which is for 15 Apr 2024 to 08 Jul 2024. Thus, it’s payment due date will be on 08 Jul 2024 and so on. At any point if you decided to quit, do let us know during the payment due date and we will activate the 1-month deposit and let you know of your last lesson. 

Q. What are the mode of payment?

Payment via PayNOW to our company’s bank account (registered UEN number). Our admin-in-charge will send you an unique QR code for PayNOW payment. It is for easy tracing.


Q. Does the swimming lessons fee include entrance fee?

Student and their accompany person will need to pay for their own entrance into the swimming pool. You can use the ActiveSG app to purchase for the entrance fee. For rate, please refer to: https://www.myactivesg.com/facilities/rates/individual-rates#Swimming

Lessons

Q. What if I need to go on vacation/break during lesson period?

We strongly advice student to use up all lessons including 1 month deposit before going for a break. Otherwise, it will still be considering a lesson when student is absent. Once the 1 month lessons have been used up, it is considered that student is quitting and slots will be given to others. Those who quit without notice will need to pay a re-registration fee of $50 upon joining back. There is no guarantee to get back the same time slot when you comes back, it will be based on available time slot during the time of re-join. Once quit, student will no longer enjoy first-comer rate, fee will be based on new rate.

Q. Are there lessons on Public Holiday?

No, Since the dropped in price for Bukit Canberra, we are no longer offering lesson on Public Holiday. You may check on our lesson calendar here.

Q. What if it rains during lesson time?

At Bukit Canberra Swimming Pool, the sheltered pool is lightning proof and lessons will still be on going when there is a lightning alert. 

Q. My child has learned swimming before, will he/her be placed in the beginner class?

As we have afew coaches taking different stages at each time slot, we can allocate him/her into a stage appropriate class. You may wish to send us his/her latest swimming certificate so we can better advise. If no certificate is available, we can only assess his/her swimming ability on the first lesson and advise accordingly.
