What is the catch ?

Due to the cost cutting, we can only focus on one important task which is on our teaching and cut-off all other cost like admin, logistic and notification. We realise that we are spending a lot of man-hours on entertaining to make-up class, medical leave, vacations break to stop temporarily and re-join.

 

 

We hope our student will get the best learning experience and one of the main factors is consistently. When student is consistent in their attendance, it will indefinitely help in their learning/progression. We hope this slashing of price can help the parents especially in such economy.

 

 

The next factor, is to ease our load on our admin-in-charge. With this low pricing, we no longer can offer any make-up class, medical leave or holding of slot.

Registration

Q. How do I sign up?

Q. What about the 1 MONTH FREE TRIAL?

 

No payment is required to book but if student did not turn up for 2 out of the 4 FREE TRIAL LESSONS, name will be voided and slot will be given to others. Nonetheless, information are required for such booking and depend on available slot and while slot last or till the promotion date ends. 

Q. Why do we need to pay to book the time slot?

 

As there are limited slots available, booking will allow you to book the specific time slot.

Q. Can I change to other time slot after booking?

 

Yes, but it will depend on availability and limited to one change per term (3 months).

Payment

Q. How is the payment calculated?

The first payment due date will be on the 2nd month (out of the 3 months) as we will held 1 month as a deposit. This 1 month deposit will act as notification if you are quitting and your slot will be given to others upon utilizing the 1 month deposit. If you decided to continue, the next payment cycle has to be paid.

 

The first week will be on the 1st day of each calendar month.

Q. What are the mode of payment?

 

Our admin will send you a QR code for payment via PayNOW to our company’s bank account (registered UEN number + unique serial no.).  It is for easy tracing.

Q. Does the swimming lessons fee include entrance fee?

Student and their accompany person will need to pay for their own entrance into the swimming pool. You can purchase for the entrance fee via the ActiveSG+ Website.

Lessons

Q. What if I need to go on vacation/break during lesson period?

We strongly advice student to plan ahead and use up all lessons including 1 month deposit before going for a break. Otherwise, it will still be considering a lesson when student is absent. Once the 1 month deposit lessons have been used up, it is considered that student has quit and slots will be given to others. There is a re-registration fee of $50 upon joining back. There is no guarantee to get back the same time slot when you comes back, it will be based on available time slot during the time of re-join.

Q. Are there lesson on Public Holiday?

No, Since the dropped in price, we are no longer offering lesson on Public Holiday and it is consider a charged lesson. We will be closed for one week during Chinese New Year too and is a charged lesson. But anyway, you are getting almost 5 months of free lesson a year. You may check on our lesson calendar hereOnly come on the days that mark “Yellow”.

Q. What if it rains during lesson time?

 

At Bukit Canberra Swimming Pool, the sheltered pool is lightning proof and lessons will still be on going when there is a lightning alert. 

 

At Jurong West SRC & Jurong Garden Lake Pool, lesson will stopped when the pool is close due to rain. Our coaches will be on the group to standby for reopening of the pool to conduct the lesson. There is no make-up/ replacement of class due pool closure. It will still be counted as a lesson. 

Q. Will my child miss out on progression if he/she is absent?

No, as our system is base on each student’s own progression individually and it does not progress together as a class / cohort. So, parents do not need to worry about missing lessons. Being said so, we still encourage student to have consistent attendance to see better results.

Q. What are the program?

Our learn-to-swim are following the SwimSafer2.0 program (program by ActiveSG) with license and qualified coaches. SwimSafer have 6 stages and for each stage when student is ready, they will be invited to take our In-House Test during lesson time which happens every quarterly. Student will be issued with our In-House Certificate (digital & laminated copy) with a fee. Upon passing the In-House Test, student can sign up for the SwimSafer Test by SAQ (optional with a fee collected by SAQ) attached/ approved by our swim school. 

 

 

As for our advance lessons, it is LifeSaving Program (program by Singapore LifeSaving Society), There are LifeSaving 123, LifeSaving CPR, Bronze Medallion and Award of Merit. Bronze Medallion is the prerequisite to become a Life-Guard in Singapore. A license worth having – Can work Part-Time !

  

Q. My child has learned swimming before, will he/her be placed in the beginner class?

 

As we have afew coaches taking different stages at each time slot, we can allocate him/her into a stage appropriate class. You may wish to send us his/her latest swimming certificate so we can better advise. If no certificate is available, we can only assess his/her swimming ability on the first lesson and advise accordingly.  

Q. What is the ratio of coach to student?

 

As licensed coaches who are able to coach at the public swimming pool. The ratio is set at max 1:10 by ActiveSG. For beginner level, we will try to maintain it at ratio 1:5 (no promise) to bring better learning experience. We have afew coaches at each time slot and assistant coaches too. At a public pool, there are life-guards around too.
