April 2025 Schedule is out!

Congratulation! Your child(ren) is/are eligible to go for the SwimSafer 2.0 Program. There are 6 stages in the SwimSafer Test. Upon completing each stage, your child(ren) is eligible to go for the SwimSafer Test of that stage. Outlet admin-in-charge will sent out message to you on the stage your child(ren) is/are able to partake in. Follow by the Test Booking admin-in-charge (from WhatsApp +65 8623 7263) will reach out to you for booking of SwimSafer Test with ActiveSG.

There are some changes to the booking and conducting of SwimSafer Test. In the past, Owen Swim School will conduct SwimSafer Test for our student and Assessor will come down to assess the test. Whereas for the current SwimSafer C.A.M.S (Centralized Assessment and Management System), the test will be conducted by ActiveSG and assess by them. Owen Swim School staff & coaches will NOT be there during the practical test.

The testing criteria remains the same. As there are limited slots for each timing and more manual work to be done for each student’s booking, we seek your patience as booking can only be done by batches. Our Outlet-admin will reach out to you once it’s your turn.

REGISTRATION

Procedure to book your SwimSafer Test with our Test Booking admin-in-charge (by WhatsApp +65 8623 7263) :

Select your Practical Test time slot (choose 3 slots based on priority).
Confirm submission details
Make Payment ($40 for Stage 1-4, $50 for Stage 5 & 6)
Confirmed Booking.

Upon receiving a confirmation from ActiveSG side, we will WhatsApp message on a confirmation of Practical Test Booking.

Please take note of your child’s Test Stage for the selection of time slot. There are only 4 venue for the SwimSafer Test.

TWO PARTS OF SWIMSAFER TEST

The SwimSafer 2.0 Test comprises of Theory & Practical Test. Theory has to be completed before the practical Test. If this step is missed, no e-Certificate will be process and deem as fail.

ONLINE THEORY TEST

This is an online theory test to be completed at home with the help of parents (if require). You can start attempt this Theory Test once Practical Test has been confirmed.

3 THINGS TO NOTE

– You have unlimited attempts, Please attempt it until you pass, the passing mark is 90% and above.

– Make sure you’ve keyed in the correct details & stage.

– Screenshot the final result for easy verification during the Practical Test.

PRACTICAL TEST

This is a physical swim test where student will have to come down to the booked venue. If it is your first time at the venue, is advisable for your child to try out swimming there and familiarized with the environment before the Practical Test day.

#1 INDEMNITY FORM

Please fill up the indemnity form before going down. Screenshot it after filling it up, for easy verification before the Practical Swim Test. (SingPass login required for parents).

#2 WHAT TO BRING

Please bring the following items to your Practical Test:

Swimwear
Short sleeve t-shirt
Shorts (only for levels 1 to 4)
Long pants (for levels 5 and 6 only)
Goggles
Swim Cap
School Student’s Pass/ ID for verification

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. What if I am late for the practical test?

Is a good practise to come early to get your child settle down and prepare for the test. The test will go on according to the time allocated and if your child arrives late for his/her slot, he/she will not be able to attend and will be marked as failed. No refunds or retests will be entertained for late-comers.

Q. What if I cannot come for the practical test?

Unfortunately, once your booking is submitted to ActiveSG, there will strictly be no rescheduling or refunds entertained. Your child will be deemed as failed for the test.

Q. What if my child is sick on the day of the practical test?

Unfortunately, once your booking is submitted to ActiveSG, there will strictly be no rescheduling or refunds entertained. Your child will be deemed as failed for the test.

Q. What if I forgotten to bring my child(ren)’s clothing?

As it is an important item to assess your child’s ability during the test, your child will be deemed as failed if they do not have the items with them. Please help to ensure that your child have everything with them on the practical test day.

Q. What happens if it rains during the practical test?

The test will continue to run if there is no lightning alert. In the event of a lightning alert, the test will be put on hold for at least 30 minutes until the lightning alert ceases, in which case the session will continue. In the unlucky event of prolonged bad weather, there is a possibility that the test will be postponed to another day. If that happens, please reach back to our Test Booking admin-in-charge for a reschedule. Please take note that you still need to be there to have your attendance marked before the reschedule is approved. Otherwise it will be deemed as absent & failed.
